Sabrina's Students of the Year Fundraiser
My name is Sabrina Hanson and I am excited to announce my leadership of team Knights 2 the Rescue. Our team is competing in the 2022 Students of the Year campaign which begins on February 5th and ends on March 25th. Students of the Year is a philanthropic leadership campaign to raise money and awareness for blood cancer research. Our team's goal is to raise $150,000 just in these 7 weeks and we can't do it alone! Every dollar donated will get us closer to our goal and closer to finding a cure to blood cancer.
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has a special place in my family. My grandmother fought Lymphoma three times throughout her life before passing away from it. She underwent all types of treatments from chemo to radiation, which would not have been available without LLS’s research. Overall, LLS helps advance over 85% of FDA-approved blood cancer treatments. This campaign is giving me the opportunity to help other families who are battling blood cancer just like my grandmother.
Sabrina's Students of the Year Fundraiser
As you know, everyone wins when cancer loses. Thanks to your support, my efforts will help fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers.
Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.
We really are getting close to our goal of a world without blood cancers!
All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. They'll not only support LLS research, but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!
