Chloe's Students of the Year Fundraiser

Feb 05, 2022

My name is Chloe Gaydos and I am honored to be a Team Member of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Student of the Year Campaign for 2022.  During this campaign, I am working along with a small group of students where we plan events and raise donations that all contribute to the LLS foundation. Every dollar donated helps bring awareness to blood cancer, such as Leukemia, which is most common for children and teens. My team's goal through this seven week long campaign is an effort to fundraise $150,000. If our team reaches the goal of $50,000 we can fund a research project for cancer of our choice. All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible.

I became a team member of this campaign because my father, Jason Gaydos, had Leukemia when he was eighteen years old, but has been cancer free ever since. Due to advancements in cancer related medical technology, he was able to have three healthy kids. I am the oldest (17) with siblings Sadie (14) and Griffin (9). I hope to raise as much money as possible so that other families don’t have to go through difficulties and struggles like my father did. My dad has supported me through everything and anything that I have ever been a part of, so I am supporting a program close to his heart. Any donations not only support LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure that patients can get access to the care and treatments they need. Thank you for your consideration and generosity.
