My name is Campbell Caldwell, I am a senior in highschool this year. I am honored to participate as a team member for the 2022 Students of the Year program in a fundraising competition to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. My reason for participating is that my grandmother died after replapsing with Breast Cancer, and my friend Aaron had Leukemia when he was a baby. During the campaign, students work together in teams to raise as much money as possible in a seven week timespan. Every dollar donated helps bring awareness to blood cancer, such as Leukemia, which is most common for children and teens. This seven week long campaign is an effort to fundraise $150,000. If our team reaches the goal of $50,000 we can fund a research project for cancer of our choice. All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure that patients can get access to the care and treatments they need.
