My name is Julia Harris and I am honored to participate as a team member for the 2022 Students of the Year program in a fundraising competition to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Every dollar donated helps bring awareness to blood cancer, such as Leukemia, which is most common for children and teens. This seven week long campaign is an effort to fundraise $50,000. If our team reaches this goal, we can fund a research project to help cure cancer. All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure that patients can get access to the care and treatments they need. 

This year I will be helping a candidate who is one of my best friends, Sabrina Hanson. My why for doing this revolves around my grandma who was diagnosed with Lung Cancer and passed away in 2011. I am also doing this for my life long friend Aaron Augustine. Aaron was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia when he was 8 months old, and survived with less than a 30% chance of survival.

Our team, Knights to the Rescue, is proud to support LLS and all those who battle blood cancers.
