Ryder's Student Visionaries of the Year Albany Fundraiser

Feb 24, 2025
I am honored to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) Student Visionary Team, a group of dedicated students working to make a real impact in the fight against blood cancers.

This mission is deeply personal to me. My Mimi bravely battled grey zone lymphoma, and my Uncle Jack fought and overcame non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. I truly believe that the incredible work of LLS played a crucial role in their outcomes. The advancements in research, patient support services, and treatments that LLS has funded gave my family hope—and, most importantly, time.

Our team is currently participating in LLS’s Student Visionaries of the Year campaign, a seven-week initiative to raise critical funds for blood cancer research, advocacy, and patient care.

My personal goal is to raise $20,000 between January 16th and March 6th, 2025. It is a lofty goal, but I am determined to leave my mark on the fight against cancer to the best of my ability. I cannot achieve my goal alone, though; I need your help.

Please consider making tax-deductible donation to my online fundraising page:https://events.lls.org/uny/svoyuny25/RHotaling#

Every donation, big or small, gets us one step closer to our goal—and most importantly, one step closer to curing blood cancer.

Should have have a business or know of a business that would be interested in partnering with us, we are inviting local businesses to join us by taking out an advertisement in our program book.  Please let me know.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to support the LLS Student Visionary Team. Together, we can create hope for families like mine and so many others affected by blood cancers.

Sincerely,

Ryder Hotaling

LLS Student Visionary Team

Ryder's Student Visionaries of the Year Albany Fundraiser

Jan 03, 2025

Visionaries look to the future—and see infinite possibility.
They challenge the status quo—and make the impossible possible.
They boldly imagine a better world – and lead the charge to create it.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was built on that same vision - of a better world - one without blood cancers.

I am a visionary; I have a vision for a world without cancer, but I need your help.

This year, I’m proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.

As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:

  • Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
  • Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
  • Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.

Please consider joining this fight by making a donation. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!

Thanks to your support, my efforts will help ensure this generation is the last to see cancer.

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you!
