Dear Families and Friends, 

I am so excited to be taking part in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign this year. This campaign lasts 7 weeks, from January 26th to March 15th, and focuses on raising money for blood cancer research and improving the lives of patients and their families. During these seven weeks I will be working as hard as I can to reach my personal fundraising goal of $1,000 which will directly fund research for different blood cancers.

Unfortunately as some of you may know, my grandmother passed away from cancer just last year. I experienced the emotional and physical damages that cancer has on its patients and the families of these patients. This organization means so much to me because I want to help other families who are also affected by cancer, so hopefully they won’t have to go through what my family went through.

I am writing to you today so that together we can make a difference and join the fight against cancer. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the largest non profit organization that is dedicated to finding a cure to blood cancers. As they have invested more than $1.7 billion in ground breaking research. They have funded nearly 200 research grants worldwide, assisted in the advancement of 75% of FDA approved blood cancer treatment options since 2017. LLS is also the leading source of free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, providing one on one support.
