Hello my name is Tyler Meek. This year I was blessed with the opportunity to help out with a very important cause called LLS. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) has the mission of curing leukemia, lymphoma, hodgkin's disease and myeloma and to improve the quality of life for patients and their families. Within its mission, LLS works on this goal through the pillars of 

Research, advocacy and access. Since its founding in 1949, LLS has invested more than $1.3 billion into cancer research, as well as fund 60 out of 70 FDA treatments for blood cancer since 2017. However, LLS still needs our support to reach their mission of finding cures for various blood cancers. Every 3 minutes someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer often those being children with leukemia which is the #1 most diagnosed form of childhood cancer. With help from LLS We can help children and people around the world beat cancer diagnosis but there are many who are not so lucky. With your support LLS can help to reach more patients and their families. 

The reason I’ve decided to help with this cause this year is because my own family struggled with cancer at one point and it actually took my grandma away from me. My grandma was a hard worker and a great cook. She didn’t do anything wrong to deserve and that’s how it is for a lot of people. they get even though it’s not something they deserve. 

I am sending this letter to ask for your support in the LLS mission and my teams wish to better the lives of those affected by blood cancers.
