Welcome to Cara Covington's SOY Fundraising Page!
My goal is to raise $100,000! With your help, I am confident that we can meet this goal!

Along with Team REDEEM, my team of family and friends who are supporting me, we are reaching out to businesses and individuals throughout the community to make both monetary and in-kind donations to this campaign which benefits the mission of LLS. Your contribution will greatly enhance my fundraising efforts that I am dedicating to my grandfather Frank Covington, who passed away from leukemia six years ago, in honor of an amazing girl and family friend Maddie Long, who has survived Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), in honor of one of my close friends Jack Ryan, who survived 5 years long of Acute Lympoblasic Leukemia and is now 7 years cancer free thriving in his first year of high school, and in honor of my fathers fraternity brother and friend Bobby Dean, who lost his battle with leukemia 33 years ago at the young age of 19,
The funds generated by the 2020 Students of the Year campaign will allow LLS to continue to fund its mission: to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma and improve the quality of life for patients and their families. Approximately 74% of the money raised through this campaign goes directly back to this mission, which I believe will soon lead us to a cure for cancer. I realize that every donation is a very generous gift and we appreciate all sizes! I thank you for your time and consideration of supporting my fundraising campaign and the fight against blood cancer.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) greatly appreciates your donation to the 2020 Students of the Year Campaign. This letter is a receipt for your donation. Please consult your accountant for tax advice. LLS is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization, Federal Tax ID #13-5644916
Look at where some of those research dollars have gone...
In a fighting fire with fire type approach to finding a cure for cancer, researches have successfully treated a little boy named Toben with the new radical treatment and is now in remission from his leukemia.
