Hi! My name is Isabel Becerra and I’m excited to be participating in the 2020 Students of the Year program with my team, REDEEM. I have a personal goal of raising $2,000 for the LLS mission, which is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. We are raising funds in honor of Toben, the 2020 Honored Hero, who just finished treatment at the end of 2019. He battled B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia for over half of his life, and I want to be able to help kids like Toben so no family has to endure what his family did. Donations are appreciated between February 13 and April 3, and .79 of every dollar goes directly back to LLS’ mission. They'll not only support LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.  I am so thankful to help out a great cause while working on my communication and bussiness strategies.
