Welcome To Our Team "The Hive" Fundraising Page
Team, The Hive is just friends that join together once a year to help end Blood Cancers!!! We all ride for different reasons; some just for a great time others because Leukemia and Lymphoma has directly effected them!! This year, our team capatian's daughter is this years "Honored Hero". She is 16 years old and was diagnosed a year ago with CML (Chronic Myeloid Leukemia) Today, a year later she is in full remission thanks to a drug that was funded by LLS!! So we ride for a cure for all! This year it really hit close to home, as most of us on our team know Riley personally. But each of us have our own story of why we ride, but mostly it's because there are many who can't ride!!! Together we will one day find a cure for all blood cancers!!
LLS's continued advancements over the years, are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling; in some cases, the survival rate has even quadrupled. And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers. They're even being tested in clinical trials for patients with a range of cancers including lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. LLS funded druges are now being tested for patients with other non-cancerous diseases like Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis.
We really are changing the face of blood cancer! Please concider a donation to our team efforts or better yet... join our team as a rider or a volunteer!! If you own a business and would like to be a team sponsor, please reach out, we'd be honored to wear your business logo on our team jerseys!!
All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS research but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
Please visit my Web site often and bring friends who would also like to donate!
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere we thank you for your support!
