As of February 2025, the prices of essential goods and services in the United States have seen significant increases. The average price of a dozen Grade A eggs has reached a record high of $4.95. Gasoline prices have also risen, with the national average for regular gasoline at approximately $3.14 per gallon. Other goods and services, such as groceries and utilities, have similarly experienced price hikes. These rising costs have put a strain on household budgets (including mine), making it more challenging for many families to manage their expenses.
Despite these economic challenges, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) and other organizations can still use our support. I am participating in the 2025 Firefighter Stair Climb Challenge, where firefighters from around the world climb the stairs of Seattle’s Columbia Center to raise funds for blood cancer research and patient support. Your donations can make a significant impact in the fight against blood cancer. Every dollar raised helps fund lifesaving research, provide free resources for patients and their families, and advocate for better healthcare policies. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by blood cancer. I am deeply grateful for your support and understanding during these challenging times. Your generosity and compassion mean the world to me and to those we are helping. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
