Martha Cordelia Hodges Patterson, age, 91, of Knoxville went home to Jesus, Wednesday, June 23, 2021. Martha was born in Sevier County on January 8, 1930 to the late Thomas S. Hodges and Nellie Manes Hodges. She was the youngest with seven older brothers. She graduated from Young High School in 1948 and from Draughon Business College. She retired from Overnite Transportation as a Customer Service Representative.

Martha was married to the love of her life, Sam Patterson, for 59 years. She was a member of Third Creek Baptist Church for 65 years and in the Eastern Star for over 50 years. She is predeceased by her husband, Sam, brothers, Theodore, Hubert, Winfred, Cecil, Paul and Wiley Hodges and son-in-law, Dr. M.G. Evans, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory Kathleen (William) Bilbow, Kimberly Patterson (David Bryant), Katherine Evans, Anna Grayson (Ben) Cooper, Ray Hodges, Charlotte Hodges and numerous extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends at 1:00pm, Friday, June 25, 2021 at Berry Highland Memorial, 5315 Kingston Pike with a funeral service to follow at 2:00pm and an interment at Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery at 3:00pm.
