Labor Against Cancer (LAC) is a movement to end the devastation of cancer, led by the passionate members of the United Food and Commercial Workers.
LAC will provide an opportunity for all organized labor to do what they do best, empower their membership to band together for the good of others in the communities where they work and live.
LAC will raise much needed funds to advance research and patient support in partnership with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society while raising awareness of the important role that union members play each and every day.
LLS's continued advancements over the years, are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling; in some cases, the survival rate has even quadrupled. And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers. They're even being tested in clinical trials for patients with a range of cancers including lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. LLS funded drugs are now being tested for patients with other non-cancerous diseases like Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis.
Together, LLS, UFCW and SugarCreek are changing the face of blood cancer!
SugarCreek is honored to host the first ever Labor Against Cancer fundraising event in partnership with UFCW Local 75. As a long standing supporter of UFCW and LLS, SugarCreek employees and leadership are committed to finding cures and saving lives.
