The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world’s largest voluntary health organization dedicated to fighting blood cancer. Our mission is: cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
LLS first opened its doors in New York City in 1949. A blood cancer diagnosis was essentially a death sentence at that time. LLS and its supporters soon began funding the most innovative and promising research throughout the world. As a result of this commitment, 5-year survival rates for blood cancers have improved dramatically.
Please join us as we pause to celebrate 75 amazing years of impact: saving lives and improving the quality of life for blood cancer patients and their families. Part of our gathering will highlight key contributions made by supporters and researchers from the local region. We will also share a glimpse at the road ahead, and exciting new developments in our goal to cure blood cancer.
As we come together to celebrate the incredible advancements that LLS has made over the past 75 years, we are proud to honor Mike and Sofia Segal, as well as all contributors to the organization, who continue to help drive our mission forward.
We thank you for your support for blood cancer patients everywhere!
