TOURNAMENT HISTORY
Jim Willis and Bob Barker became fast friends while they both battled blood cancer. As a way to help end blood cancers, they held a golf tournament in 1997 to support The LLS. Sadly, Jim lost his personal battle with leukemia several months after that first tournament.
Today, Bob Barker and Jim’s family continue to hold the tournament and fundraise in his honor. To date, Jim and Bob’s golf tournament has raised over $3 million!

Over the past 40 years LLS has invested more than $1.2 billion to fund the most cutting-edge research, advancing blood cancer cures and treatments. We provide life-saving resources to patients and their families, ensuring quality and affordable care.

LOCAL IMPACT
This past fiscal year in North Texas, LLS helped nearly 2,000 patients, caregivers and healthcare providers!
We helped 1,700 blood cancer patients with almost $2.5 million in co-pay assistance to help with medications and 61 patients with $30,500 in travel assistance.
Over $15.5 million was invested in lifesaving research at Texas institutions, including $500,000 for research at UT Southwestern Dallas.
