Please join us in supporting the New Mexico/El Paso Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a attending the private screening event for the documentary "Be Here Now" (The Andy Whitfield Story). All proceeds benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the 2016 Albuquerque Light The Night Walk.

“Be Here Now" (The Andy Whitfield Story), is an inspiring love story between superstar, Andy Whitfield, of “Spartacus”  fame, and his wife, Vashti, who go on a quest to heal Andy, from the start of his journey with non-Hodgkin lymphoma to his eventual passing.  Andy and Vashti generously shared their experience in the hope that it might help inspire others and shine a light on the need for more cancer research and support. Andy and Vashti and their family’s extraordinary and uplifting story was captured by Oscar-nominee Lilibet Foster in this film that won the Audience Award for Best Documentary at the LA Film Festival Audience Award for Best Documentary. 

LLS's continued advancements over the years, are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling; in some cases, the survival rate has even quadrupled. And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers. They're even being tested in clinical trials for patients with a range of cancers including lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. LLS funded drugs are now being tested for patients with other non-cancerous diseases like Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis.
