The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is pleased to announce the 35th Annual Leukemia Ball, which will take place in-person on June 18, 2022 at the Marriott Marquis, Washington DC. We look forward to celebrating the legacy of the Leukemia Ball and its impact on the DC Metro Area over more than three decades.
This year's Leukemia Ball is an event not to be missed with headline entertainment by Roy Wood Jr. and The Legwarmers, live and silent auctions, a *NEW* car raffle, dinner, and dancing. We look forward to celebrating with all our supporters and sponsors at a safe, in-person event and will be requiring guests to present either proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or a negative test within 24 hours of the event. LLS is an incredible organization that is leading the way in funding blood cancer research and providing critical support for patients. In 2020, LLS facilitated 14 of the 17 blood cancer treatment options approved by the FDA. Furthermore, LLS helped advance more than 85% of FDA-approved blood cancer treatment options since 2017. Additionally, 2020 was a year like no other, but it did not stop LLS from supporting local patients and their families in the DC region. Through our patient financial assistance programs, LLS was able to provide millions of dollars in assistance to thousands of patients in our neighborhoods. The return on investment is dramatic, and the funds raised here in our community are saving lives.
