Join us to memorialize Russ Neufeld (1/16/77-1/21/17) on what would have been near Russ' 41st birthday to # runtheneuf and #runwithruss, raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Russ Neufeld Memorial Scholarship Fund, and celebrate life.
Before he died in January 2017, his parting wish was ... "take all this love you have and share it. It only multiplies and there are so many who could use it...just spread the love folks - it's the only thing in this world that endures." That is what we intend to do at The Neuf!

The inaugural running of The Neuf 9K and 2 mile run will start at 10 AM on Saturday, January 13, 2018 outside of Mojo's Coffee Shop (300 E. 27th Street) on the campus of Bethel College in North Newton, Kansas. The 9K runs through North Newton into Newton and then heads off road along the Sand Creek trail while the 2 mile stays on pavement in North Newton and is conducive for runners of all abilities.
All registered runners receive a timing bib from TimerGuys, a commemorative toque (stocking cap), and post-race festivities at Mojo's which include coffee, hot chocolate, and continental breakfast items. The top three male and female finishers receive handmade pottery mugs from Hanna Eastin pottery. Major sponsors include Bethel College, Mojo's Coffee, Hesston College, and Central Care Cancer Center.
The Neuf has been developed by friends and family of Russ Neufeld to honor his memory. All proceeds benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the Russ Neufeld Memorial Scholarship at Hesston College. However, all proceeds collected on this page will directly benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
The Neuf entry fee is $35 for the 9K and $25 for the 2 mile ($40/$30 on day of race). Race day registration closes 15 minutes before race and may not include inaugural toque.
