Welcome to my Fundraising Page!

Hi, my name is Sarah Buffaloboy and I am a student at Collingswood High School. I am Honored to be a candidate for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society's 2015 Student of the Year Campaign! This is a seven week initiative, in which high school students raise money to support LLS with helping patients their families, and coming one step closer to curing blood cancers!

Please join me in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to my fundraising campaign, "One Step Closer". Thanks to your support, my efforts, will help fund the therapies and treatments and help save lives today.

LLS's continued advancements over the years, are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling; in some cases, the survival rate has even quadrupled.

And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers. They're even being tested in clinical trials for patients with a range of cancers including lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. LLS funded drugs like Gleevec, Sprycel, Arinza, Tasigna and Zolinza are now being tested for patients with other non-cancerous diseases like Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis.

We really are changing the face of blood cancer!

All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS research but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.

- 9 years cancer free of this cancer(NHL) During your treatment of chemo and radiation you only missed one day of work. You made it through this battle then a few years later your went through another cancer and as of noe beat that also.

Hi Sarah! I work with your Dad and have really enjoyed reading about you and your awesome campaign! Brava! I am am (almost) 14 year breast cancer survivor and have volunteered for the American Cancer Society- Relay For Life- because it is for all cancers, not just breast. I have met many with blood cancers. I am a lucky survivor, but I also know that the treatments I have had put me at increased risk for developing leukemia and or lymphoma at some point. I also know that research into any one cancer benefits all. And there are new innovations everyday! I have lived 14 more birthdays because someone like YOU raised money and awareness maybe 20 years ago. THANKS! You have already done a great thing- keep it up! I tried to get to your Whelihan's fundraiser because I would love to meet you.. but that was a bad night- so I DO very much look forward to that in the future-- keep on being positive and working towards new possibilities.
