I am excited to announce that my team LLS Lifesavers was nominated to work with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), and raise funds for the “Student of the Year” campaign. Students are given a chance to raise money in the hopes of finding a cure for blood cancer. The competition will start on January 29, 2022, and will end on March 19, 2022. My group, The LLS Lifesavers, is determined to reach our $75,000 target.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is the largest funder in blood cancer research and provides free information, support, and help for those affected by blood cancer. Supporting such a heartwarming organization like the Leukemia Lymphoma Society has inspired my family for several years, and I am very excited for the opportunity to step up as a leader this year. Being able to watch and support my brothers during their Student of the Year campaign has encouraged me to take on the responsibility myself and finally be able to support my dad, a survivor of Hodgkin lymphoma. However, I fully intend to take this year's fundraiser in my own direction, and take the opportunity for new ideas which showcase my excitement and commitment to LLS.
