Hello everyone and happy Kickoff!

We are so excited to get our campaign started and help The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) reach their goals! LLS is a leading blood cancer nonprofit that is focused on improving the lives of blood cancer patients and their families. They raise funds to research blood cancer, advocate for patients' rights, and provide support for patients and their families. 

 

LLS has a Student Visionaries of the Year (SVOY) program that allows students to help raise funds to support LLS's mission. Our SVOY team is Team Cure City, led by me and Victoria Patrick. We would greatly appreciate it if you donated to my campaign to help me reach my personal goal of $5,000 towards LLS.

Zana's Student Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser

I'm taking part in the Leukemia & Lymphone Society's (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year (SVOY) Campaign!!! The purpose of the campaign is to raise money to help battle blood cancer. During the 7 week campaign, my team, Team Cure City, will try to raise the most money we can to help support LLS's mission, and we would love your support!

 

LLS supports research that is vital in improving and saving patient lives. They also affect policy changes that can help develop new treatments that can significantly improve care. The main focus of our particular campaign is education and patient support. This includes support and assistance for patients and their families, as well as helping patients understand their diagnosis. I think support is extremeley important as fighting cancer is both physically and mentally tough on patients and their families.

    My father's father and my father's best friend passed away from Leukemia. Decades have passed since we lost each of them...my grandfather when my Dad was a teen; and my father's best friend, when I was a teen.
