My name is Anna Robinson.  I am a junior at Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, DC studying in the Literary Media and Communications department.  My focus is journalism where I am actively producing a podcast with my peers.

I am a Capitol Hill resident who previously attended Eliot-Hine Middle School and Maury Elementary School.  In the past, I was an athlete who played basketball for seven years and soccer for two years.  I have volunteered for various community initiatives and activities.  This is my first fundraiser campaign and I hope to receive your support for a great cause!

The mission of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is not only to raise money but also to bring attention to blood cancers. Leukemia is a common form of blood cancer found in teens and children.  The fight to cure cancer not only affects patients but also their friends and family.  The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society provides financial support, funding for medical/scientific research, public health information and advocacy for fair healthcare policies/laws.

Supporting my friend who recently lost her mother to cancer inspires me to be apart of the Student of the Year fundraiser.  I ask of you to please donate to my campaign and Team A-Train.  Any amount that you can provide is appreciated!  The deadline is March 2nd.
