Hannah McNeal | The White Outs
Welcome to Hannah McNeal's SOY Fundraising Page!
Hello everyone!
I hope everyone has had a nice couple of weeks! I know I have!
This past weekend I went down to Richmond with my mom to play in the Dice Night that my aunt was hosting!
It was so much fun eating, playing dice, and interacting with her very very nice friends.
I have included a few pictures and a video to show the competitiveness of the games played and the fun that we all had.
Here is a picture of Melinda (one of my aunt's friends) having a hard time putting her $10 in the middle! She was making us all laugh so hard that night!
Thank you to everyone that participated at the Dice Night! I had so much fun and I am so grateful for everyone that was there, you guys really helped support a great cause!

Meet the Team!
Mindi Perry & Sharyn Collinson
Hi I'm Hannah!
I am honored to participate as a team member for the 2019 Students of the Year program, a seven-week initiative in which select high school students from around the country participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Just a little bit about myself... I am 17 years old (almost 18, my birthday is January 21st), a senior at Oakton High School and enjoy hanging out with my friends, baking, shopping, as well as reading in my free time.
And now the most important fact that you guys should know about me...
When I was four years old I was diagnosed with acute T-cell lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). The sign that led my family and I to believe that something was wrong was when I hit my hip into a coffee table and it started bruising very badly: turning red, black, blue, purple, and other grotesque colors. I went to the doctor where they ultimately diagnosed me with ALL. My 108 week treatment consisted of: an array of chemotherapies, radiation to my brain and spinal taps. I lost my hair twice and spent most of my "toddlerhood" in the hospital and clinics. Thankfully, I pulled through and went into remission in the first 6 weeks. Ever since that time I have been very active in the community starting with Girl of the Year in 2008, I have participated in "Light the Night" as well as CureSearch which are walks that help raise money for finding cures for blood cancers. In school I am also in clubs that help kids with cancer such as Codi's Hats and Relay For Life. I do all of these clubs and activities because I feel the need to give back to the community that had supported me and my family through a very difficult time.
Thank you for whatever you can do to help the kids and their families today and in the future who have to go through this very difficult and emotional time!

In loving memory of my sister, Suzanne, a mother of 5 children, who lost her battle to leukemia at age 38. Additionally, in honor of a very dear, brave young woman, Hannah McNeal, who has survived childhood leukemia and is now part of the team to help fight for those who are still struggling with this disease...may God bless them all.
