Sail for Leukemia is an annual event hosted by the Lake City Yacht Club, held the last full weekend in July. We organize an event of over 100 volunteers who dedicate their time, allowing 100 percent of the donations we receive to go directly to our local Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) chapter..
We welcome visitors of all ages who would like to share our love of sailing to join our captains & crew for an hour and a half sail. The Lake City Yacht Club encourages the community of Lake City, and surrounding areas to join in our fight against blood cancers by making a tax deductible donation to LLS and enjoy a sail with us.
One hundred percent of funds raised will be donated to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The mission of LLS is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
