From 1975-2018 the survival rate of those with Leukemia has risen from 35% to 69%, and those with Lymphoma have risen from 46-73% to 77-92%. These incredible statistics would not be possible without the help of Student Visionaries, as well as those who donate to help provide for others and research to help the cause. The fight has not ended simply due to this rise in percentages, however. I, as a proud member of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), look forward to a world in which this percentage can be a 100% guarantee. A world in which people won't have to worry about their loved ones' lives because of these diseases.

My inspiration is my friends and family. Although I do not have anyone close to me who has suffered from Leukemia or Lymphoma, the last thing I would ever want is for anyone to experience something like that, especially those close to me.

This year, I am fighting alongside my LLS team to raise as much money as possible for those in need. Although our goals are big, so is the change that could be made to the world.
