I,  Kartikeyan Rajaram am honored to be a candidate for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Student Visionaries of the Year. Annually, 1.9 million people receive a cancer diagnosis. The poignant experience of my grandfather's battle with deadly cancer revealed the widespread suffering caused by this disease. This personal loss underscores the urgency of research, as millions confront the harsh realities of cancer. Contributing to the quest for knowledge holds the potential to turn the tide for those facing this relentless adversary.

 As I join LLS, I carry personal stories, a connection to those who have suffered, and a fervent desire to make a meaningful impact. Together, let us channel our passion towards a future where the battle against cancer is fought with the power of knowledge and unwavering compassion.

As a student visionary, I have the opportunity to lead a team working together to cure blood cancer. In order to raise $75,000 for research, my team and I have created a plan of personal outreach, corporate sponsorship, and fundraising events.
