Team's Students of the Year Fundraiser

Feb 05, 2022

Hello! We are Guinness Brown, Peyton Pry, and Olivia White, and we have signed up to save lives with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) for the 2022 Students of the Year Campaign. Every dollar raised from February 11, 2022 through April 1, 2022 counts as one vote towards our campaign. The candidate(s) whose team tallies the most votes earns the prestigious title of Student or Students of the Year.

Last year, the three of us were team members of Team We've Got CUREage, and this year we are very excited to be leading Team Care to Cure. We have been blessed with our amazing team members: Arianna Angert, Delaney Brown, Paris Brown, Sarah Fiorina, Kendall Holt, Madison Kishbaugh, Evan Lubinsky, Presley Ornelas, Alli Morrow, Trevor Paschall, Sydney Rajchel, Caroline Rundle, Sydney Spack, and Aubree Tack.

Our team's goal is to raise, at the very least, $25,000 for LLS in support of curing Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and Myeloma, as well as to improve the lives of these patients and the lives of their families.

Our team has grown to be especially passionate of our mission, as will be running in honor of a five-year-old local to our area, Aria. Aria was diagnosed with B-Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Hearing Aria's story and watching her battle has encouraged us all to come together and spread our mission.

As you know, everyone wins when cancer loses. Thanks to your support, my efforts will help fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers.

Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.

We really are getting close to our goal of a world without blood cancers!

Please visit Team Care to Cure's website often, and be sure to help us spread our mission.

All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. They'll not only support LLS research, but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support! For more information about LLS, please visit www.lls.org
