Ricki's Students of the Year Fundraiser

Feb 11, 2022
Dear Family and Friends, I have been given the amazing opportunity to be a part of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Students of the Year 2021 Campaign. This is a seven-week fundraising competition to raise money in support of LLS starting February 11th - April 1, 2022. As a part of Team aMaising led by my friend Maisy Wadlow, I will be working to help raise the funds necessary to benefit those who need them. I am asking my friends and family to help us assist the efforts of the LLS to find a cure for blood cancer. I am very passionate about helping LLS as my father passed away from Cancer several years ago. I would like to be able to honor his memory by helping those survivors who still have a chance to lead a long and healthy life. Each charitable dollar you contribute to our campaign makes an impacting difference. One hundred percent of these funds go directly to LLS in support of its longstanding mission to cure Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and Myeloma and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Not only is LLS helping patients with blood cancers, but LLS is going beyond blood cancer by funding more than 60% of the blood cancer therapies being used to treat other cancers. ● This year, more than ever, it is crucial to support organizations like LLS. Cancer patients are at a higher risk for complications with COVID-19, which is why LLS created the LLS COVID-19 Patient Financial Aid Program which has provided more than $4.5 million in assistance to over 18,000 blood cancer patients. Please join us to help support the efforts of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. By making a donation in any amount, you are supporting the programs and critical research LLS is doing. Our aggressive, yet capable campaign goal over this seven-week period is $1,000 per team member for an overall team goal of $50,000! This is how you can help! *There are two ways you can make a tax-deductible contribution by April 1st. Check: Please make all checks payable to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and print SoY - Team aMaising in the memo line. Please mail all checks to me at: 605 Victoria Lane Wexford, PA 15090 Online: Visit my fundraising page using this link and click “Donate Now”! https://events.lls.org/wpa/wpasoy22/rharbaugh Thank you in advance for your support! Ricki's Students of the Year Fundraiser

Nov 22, 2021

I have signed up to save lives with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and am working to raise as much as possible over the next 7 weeks. Every dollar raised counts as one vote for my campaign. The candidate(s) whose team tallies the most votes earns the prestigious title of Student or Students of the Year. Will you help me earn that title?

As you know, everyone wins when cancer loses. Thanks to your support, my efforts will help fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers.

Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.

We really are getting close to our goal of a world without blood cancers!

All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. They'll not only support LLS research, but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.

Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support! For more information about LLS, please visit www.lls.org
