Quinn Beitler | Kiss Cancer Goodbye
Quinn's Students of the Year Fundraiser
Hi! My Name is Quinn Beitler, I am a Senior at North Catholic High School, I play tennis and Lacrosse. I love to cook, travel, and spend time with loved ones!
I have been given the amazing opportunity to be a part of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Students of the Year 2022 Campaign. This is a seven-week fundraising competition to raise money in support of LLS starting February 5th, 2021 - March 26th, 2021.
I will be raising funds for blood cancer research alongside my co-candidate, Isabella Kelm, together we have created Team Kiss Cancer Goodbye. I am asking friends and family to help assist us in the efforts of the LLS to find a cure for blood cancer.
I am very passionate about helping LLS as my Grandmother was diagnosed with an immune disorder that makes her a precursor to developing multiple myeloma, in 2010. She is a very brave and strong woman, however it can be heartbreaking to watch her health deter her from living her best life. She does her best, but there is a limit on certain things she can partake in. I want to help prevent this from happening to anyone else, and to give the best treatments to those suffering today.
Each charitable dollar you contribute to our campaign makes an impacting difference. One hundred percent of these funds go directly to LLS in support of its longstanding mission to cure Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and Myeloma and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Not only is LLS helping patients with blood cancers, but LLS is going beyond blood cancer by funding more than 60% of the blood cancer therapies being used to treat other cancers.
Blood cancers account for more than 40% of all childhood cancers, and most children are treated with the same toxic combinations of chemotherapies developed decades ago for adults, leaving them with lifelong complications. It is because of patients like Daeshawn and Leighton, that LLS has created the LLS Children’s Initiative with a commitment to expand their investment in research and therapies to allow young patients to not only survive their cancer, but thrive in their lives after treatment.
Quinn's Students of the Year Fundraiser
I have signed up to save lives with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and am working to raise as much as possible over the next 7 weeks. Every dollar raised counts as one vote for my campaign. The candidate(s) whose team tallies the most votes earns the prestigious title of Student or Students of the Year. Will you help me earn that title?
As you know, everyone wins when cancer loses. Thanks to your support, my efforts will help fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers.
Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.
We really are getting close to our goal of a world without blood cancers!
All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. They'll not only support LLS research, but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support! For more information about LLS, please visit www.lls.org
