Rebekah's Students of the Year Fundraiser
Thanks for visiting my page!
My name is Rebekah Rapp, and I am honored to be nominated as a candidate for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s 2021 Students of the Year campaign. I am joining LLS in their mission to find cures and ensure access to treatments for blood cancer patients. This year’s campaign is inspired by the local Boy and Girl of the Year, Daeshawn and Leighton. They are both now in remission after years of treatment for leukemia. I am also running in honor of my grandfather who passed away in March and had a blood cancer.
My goal is to raise as much money as possible to help this amazing organization. Cancer affects almost everyone. Whether you had cancer yourself, had a family member, or friend who had cancer, or have just heard stories about how cancer has impacted other people, you know how hard it is for everyone involved. I am also incredibly inspired by the boy and girl of the year. They and their families have gone through so much in their short lives. I know that they, and countless other families fight so hard for more time with each other. It is because of patients like Daeshawn and Leighton, that LLS has created the LLS Children’s Initiative with a commitment to expand their investment in research and therapies to allow young patients to not only survive their cancer, but thrive in their lives after treatment.
I also recognize how hard this past year has been. Almost everyone has lost something to the pandemic. Whether it was a job, a family member, or time with the people you love, 2020 has hurt us all in many ways. But cancer has not stopped, so neither has LLS. In April of 2020 LLS started the COVID-19 Patient Financial Aid Program. Since then, they have helped over 19,000 patient families by providing over $4.8 million. Whatever you have to give can benefit patients and their lives greatly.
How can you help?
On this page, you can make a tax deductable donation. Any ammount of money helps LLS's quest to end cancer forever as well as providing patient care. Another way to multiply this impact is to share my link. Please feel free to show other people my page. Do not hesitate to reach out to me at Rebekahrapp1@gmail.com if you have any questions about how you can help.
I appreciate any support you can supply,
With my most sincere appreciation,
Rebekah Rapp
Rebekah's Students of the Year Fundraiser
Welcome To My Fundraising Page.
Please join me in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to my fundraising campaign. Thanks to your support, my efforts, will help fund the therapies and treatments and help save lives today.
LLS's continued advancements over the years, are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling; in some cases, the survival rate has even quadrupled.
And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers. They're even being tested in clinical trials for patients with a range of cancers including lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. LLS funded drugs are now being tested for patients with other non-cancerous diseases like Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis.
We really are changing the face of blood cancer!
All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS research but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
Please visit my Web site often and bring friends who would also like to donate!
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere I thank you for your support!
