We, Abby McDermott, Lexie Vigna, and Mckenna Nuttall, are very excited to announce that we have been nominated to participate as candidates for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Students of the Year Campaign. The Students of the Year campaign (SOY) is a seven-week fundraising competition to raise money and awareness for LLS. We are personally writing to you today to ask for your support of our campaign and LLS’s mission to find cures for blood cancers and to assist patients and their families. We have been given the opportunity to help these families and would really appreciate it if you could help us out with whatever you can! We simply cannot do it without your support.

We have all been affected by cancer in some way. Many of our family members have struggled with cancer and it is our goal to prevent anyone else from having to go through the same kind of pain. Our team name in this year’s SOY campaign is “Team GLOW- Getting Leukemia Out of this World.” Our campaign runs from February 14th, 2020, to April 3rd, 2020, and our goal is to raise as much money as possible to help get leukemia out of this world. This is why we are asking you! We want to help in any way we can to make it possible for more people to beat this disease. Our campaign provides an opportunity to support the critical work of LLS in fighting these diseases.
