This year I am honored to be nominated as candidates for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2020 Students of the Year campaign. Students of the Year is a seven-week fundraising competition from February 14^th to April 3^rd, 2020 to raise money in support of LLS.  I will raise the funds necessary to benefit those who need them. We are asking you to help us assist the efforts of LLS to find a cure for blood cancer.

We are very passionate about helping LLS. We are excited to raise funds for LLS because the research they fund is going beyond blood cancers to help with treatments for other forms of cancer, including breast cancer. My family has many forms of cancer. For at least 3 women beating breast cancer that are very dear to me. As well and I have my own battle I face with Gorlen Nevus Syndrome, a type of cancer. I believe in their mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma, and improve the quality of life for patients and their families.

Every three minutes, someone in the US is diagnosed with a blood cancer. Each charitable dollar you contribute makes an impacting difference. The funds that are being raised are in honor of our local Boy & Girl of the Year, Pirlo and Malaun. One hundred percent of these funds go directly to LLS in support of its longstanding mission to find a cure for blood cancers and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

I adore helping others and this is something that I have personally enjoyed putting my best effort into. I have been planning this fundraiser since October 2019 and I hope that my efforts will pay off in the end. Thank you in advance for your support.
