I am very excited to announce that I am a candidate for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student of the Year campaign. Students of the Year is a fundraising competition that spans over seven weeks, February 14 through April 3. During this short period of time, myself and my team, Float Like a Butterfly, will be trying to raise as much money as possible to help fight blood cancers. I am writing to you to ask for your support in my efforts to help LLS in its mission to ensure access to cures and treatments for blood cancers.

As many people know, for the past three years, I have been fundraising for the St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer. Through all this work, fighting pediatric cancer has become a cause very close to my heart. While LLS doesn’t just help children and childhood leukemia has the highest cure rate of all blood cancers, it is still the NUMBER ONE disease killer of children under age 20. This NEEDS to change! I’m hoping that someday, with our help, LLS can be that change for every child (and adult) battling cancer.

Every three minutes, someone in the US is diagnosed with a blood cancer. Each charitable dollar you contribute makes an impacting difference. The funds that are being raised are in honor of our local Boy & Girl of the Year, Pirlo and Malaun. The funds raised go directly to LLS in support of its longstanding mission to find a cure for blood cancers and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

Here is how you can help… My Student of the Year campaign is all about raising as much money as possible, all for LLS. I need your support to make this happen! All donations must be received by April 3^rd, 2020.
