Ainslie Romasco | Four Twelve Cancer Crushers

Ainslie's Student Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser

Jan 01, 2023

I am excited to announce that I have been given the amazing opportunity to be a part of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year 2023 Campaign. My seven-week fundraiser is set to raise money in support of LLS starting February 10th – March 31st, 2023. I have formed Team Four Twelve Cancer Crushers, and I will be working to help raise the funds necessary to benefit those who need them. I am asking anyone out there to assist my team and the efforts of LLS to find a cure for blood cancer.

I am currently a freshman at Moon Area High School. I am doing this campaign for my grandfather who had cancer during COVID, and it was scary watching him lose weight and become so sick that I couldn’t even see him. During his time of need for money for his medications, he reached out to LLS and they took care of parts of his medical needs. Now he is able to pay for his lifelong medications on his own thanks to LLS. I am doing this campaign to not only better my understanding of what LLS helps with, but also to better my public speaking skills and time management. Another reason I am doing this campaign is because I would like to give back to LLS as a thank you for helping my grandfather in his time of need and for saving his life. Through your support of my team, I hope to impact the countless people affected by leukemia and lymphoma as well as the doctors and researchers who are working to find a cure. Every penny counts!

Each charitable dollar you contribute to my campaign makes an impacting difference. 100%  of your donations go directly to LLS in support of its longstanding mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Not only is LLS helping patients with blood cancers, but LLS is going beyond blood cancer by funding more than 60% of the blood cancer therapies being used to treat other cancers. This can better the lives of so many people that may even live around you. I can't wait to start fundraising and helping people in need with my amazing team of family and friends. For the cure!

Ainslie's Student Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser

Sep 06, 2022

Visionaries look to the future—and see infinite possibility.
They challenge the status quo—and make the impossible possible.
They boldly imagine a better world – and lead the charge to create it.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was built on that same vision - of a better world - one without blood cancers.

I am a visionary; I have a vision for a world without cancer, but I need your help.

This year, I’m proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.

As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:

  • Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
  • Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
  • Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.

Please consider joining this fight by making a donation. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!

Thanks to your support, my efforts will help ensure this generation is the last to see cancer.

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you!

Thanks Ainslie for your efforts to support LLS, we have both lost parents to cancer and both Todd’s brother and our friend have recently beaten Hodgkin's lymphoma. We are happy to support you and wish you luck on reaching your goal. Your motivations, which you clearly defined, has renewed our faith in today’s youth. Ainslie, if you continue on this path of foresight, kindness and humility, you will far surpass all expectations of a life filled with happiness and success. Sincerely, Todd & LJ Suehr
