Student Visionaries of the Year Eastern Wisconsin

Liesel's Student Visionaries of the Year Eastern Wisconsin Fundraiser
I had the privilege of being asked to be a team member for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2024 Eastern Wisconsin Student Visionaries of the Year campaign. I am participating in this campaign for my mom who had breast cancer in 2019 as well as my grandpa who has passed away due to cancer. My grandpa had multiple myeloma, a form of blood cancer, and died just 10 days after I was born. I never had the chance to meet him and was never able hear the many stories he had to share.
No one should have to go through cancer, and so we need to fight to help provide any and all solutions we can. My mom, one of my big inspirations, has also done a big part in raising money for cancer and I would like to follow in her footsteps. Our campaign will provide support to the critical work of LLS in hopes that one day no one will have to grow up without the ones they love. I know that with your help, we can reach our goal and make a direct impact in the fight against blood cancers.
My grandpa!
As a student visionary we look to the future—and see infinite possibility.
We challenge the status quo—and make the impossible possible.
We boldly imagine a better world – and lead the charge to create it.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was built on that same vision - of a better world - one without blood cancers.
I am a visionary; I have a vision for a world without cancer, but I need your help.
OUR TEAMS GOAL: $200,000
The money raised helps LLS, the largest nonprofit dedicated to: creating a world without blood cancers, funding research aiding in the advancement of lifesaving treatments, driving advocacy for policies that protect patient access to these treatments, and providing patients and families with hope, guidance, education and support. Our team is particularly passionate about research and will be representing this area of LLS during our campaign.
Please consider joining this fight by making a donation. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible.

Liesel, I am so moved by your work here. I know you grandpa and adored him. He was a big, warm bear-hugger of a guy. I can still hear his voice and accent in my head. He had a huge love of exploring, adventure, and nature. And he was a curious guy. Again, I adored him. I'm also an old friend of your mom's and adore her as well. And as for you, I love what your doing. Hope to meet you in person soon! ❣️
