Shari Lau | Lucky Licks Lymphoma

Lucky's Lymphoma Lickin' Team

Jan 17, 2021

As some of you may know, we lost the most amazing dog to lymphoma and nasal carcinoma in November. I'm raising funds for blood cancer research this year in memory of Lucky.

Our sweet Lucky crossed the Rainbow Bridge after bravely fighting cancer for more than 7 months. He had completed chemotherapy and radiation, but after he lost the ability to use or move his back legs we knew his time had come. The cancer had started attacking his spinal chord. We brought him home for one last night together, and I camped out on the floor in my sleeping bag next to him just as I did on his first night with us when he was a puppy. Then we said goodbye. 💔

Lucky was a special dog. He was just so happy to be wherever we were. He brought unconditional love, laughter and licks to our lives and hearts. I miss his ear nibbles, his snuggles and his light. If I could ask Lucky one question it would be, “Did you have a good life?” Because he deserved the best.

Did you know:

*LLS funds a veterinary researcher who specializes in canine cancer

*Human and canine cancer look the same under a microscope

*Lymphoma in dogs is treated similary to lymphoma in humans

*6 million dogs will get cancer this year
