Students of the Year Milwaukee

Savannah Santos | Warriors CAN-CERvive

Welcome to Savannah Santos' SOY Fundraising Page!

Mar 02, 2020

Hi!  Thank you so much for visiting our “Warriors CAN-CERvive” campaign website!

I hope you will consider donating to this important cause.

I am honored to participate as a candidate for the 2020 Students of the Year program!  The Students of the Year campaign is a seven-week (January 21st – March 12th) leadership development and philanthropy program in which high school students form teams and participate in a fundraising competition to benefit LLS and the mission to find a cure for blood cancers and improve the quality of life for patients.  The candidate team that raises the most money at the end of the seven weeks is named Student of the Year.  Our mission is to not only raise the most money but also to bring attention to blood cancers like leukemia, which is the most common form of cancer in children and teens.

Cancer has impacted my family and friends, which is why I'm honored to have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others and support a world without cancer.  I've built a team of 10+ committed friends to partner with me on this journey.  Together, we set a fundraising goal of $50,000.  This is a challenging goal, but we believe that with your help and support, anything is possible!

Since the early 1960s, five-year survival rates for many blood cancer patients have doubled, tripled or even quadrupled.  And, many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients, but also help patients with other cancers and serious diseases too.  In fact, drugs first approved for blood cancers are now approved to treat patients with stomach cancers, skin cancers, and autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis.

All donations are tax-deductible and not only support LLS-funded research, but will help provide critical information and support for patients, as well as, support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.

Please visit our website often to view our campaign progress.  Also, please forward the link to your family and friends who would be willing to donate!

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank YOU for your support!
