Ellery Dahlberg | Counting on a Cure

Welcome to Ellery Dahlberg's SOY Fundraising Page!

Jan 20, 2020

Hello!

For those of you who don't know me, and for those of you that do, my name is Ellery Dahlberg and I am a junior at Kettle Moraine High School. I attend the charter school called High School of Health Sciences. In between my naps, agonizing over my school work, and chauffeuring my sister around I plan to step outside my comfort zone. I made a goal for myself. The goal is to raise 50,000 dollars in donations toward the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

I am a part of the 2020 Student of the Year campaign and over the next 7 weeks, I will be working to raise money and awareness for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and their mission to cure blood cancers.

My team's name is Counting on a Cure. My best friend (since kindergarten!) Emma Johnosn and I are co-leading the team with our family and friends. I feel hopeful that the money donated will go to finding a cure in the near future.

This years honored hero of the 2020 Student of the Year Campaign is our family friend, Harlow Millies. I witnessed the journey that Harlow and her family went through, so when I was approached about getting involved with LLS Students of the Year Campaign, I knew it was something I wanted to do.

Though this is a very challenging task for me during my junior year of high school, it is no comparison to what Harlow went through, causing my answer to be an absolute yes!

My personal goal is to raise $25,000 between January 21st and March 12th. It’s a lofty goal, but I am willing to work hard to reach it. I cannot do it alone, I need your help. Here are a few ways you can support my fundraising efforts:

  • Share my message & fundraising link with your contacts via email or social media or whatever way you see fit

  • Donate a silent auction item that can be used for the Grand Finale Gala auction

  • Help me secure a corporate sponsorship (Sponsorships start at $3500 and sponsors receive Gala benefits)

  • Cash or check given directly to me

Thank you, your donation truly makes a difference and with your help we are one step closer to finding a cure for blood cancers.

Stay tuned to see what my team and I are able to accomplish!

Please visit our website often and bring friends who would also like to donate!

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support!

My brother, a Kettle Moraine graduate class of 1982, fought AML leukemia fearlessly. The friendships he made at KM provided a foundation for his adult life. Thank you for fundraising for important leukemia research - my brother is smiling from heaven.
