Eliza Marcus | Taking a Swing at Cancer
Eliza's Students of the Year Fundraiser
My Dad has bone marrow cancer. Those are hard words to type. He was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in 2016 and although his cancer is not curable, he has beaten it back. He is working full time, enjoying life, and remains optimistic. My parents have worked very hard to raise money for blood cancer research. They have fought to improve the lives of blood cancer patients everywhere. When I learned about the opportunity to join The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Student of the Year - I knew I had to do my part.
I ask you to join me in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to my fundraising campaign. When my Dad was diagnosed - I remember feeling helpless. Like there was nothing I could do to help. Now I can. By contibuting to my campaign for LLS, you support the many facets of their mission work- from investing in groundbreaking research, including for cancers like Multiple Myeloma, providing education and support to patients, and advocating at the state and federal level for legislation to help those living with cancer. Since the 1960s, survival rates for many blood cancer patients have doubled, tripled, or even quadrupled. Frankly - that's not enough. I want my Dad to live. I want anyone who has blood cancer to survive.
Please visit my website and share it with anyone you know who would also like to join us in the fight against blood cancer. With your help, we have the power, the passion, and the resolve to achieve a world without blood cancer.
On behalf of cancer patients (my Dad) and their families everywhere, I sincerely thank you for your support!
All donations are tax-deductible. For more information about LLS, please visit lls.org
