Hi there, welcome to our page!

We are honored to participate as co-candidates for the 2020 Students of the Year program, a seven-week initiative in which select high school students from around the country participate in a philanthropic leadership program and fundraiser to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This year, we are rasing money in honor of our hero, Portia, and all the other heros out there fighting their own battle! Every dollar raised will go directly to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in hopes of finding alternate, less invasive treatment options, support for families, and most importantly, a cure within OUR lifetime! The candidate team that raises the most money at the end of the seven weeks is named Student(s) of the Year. Our mission is to not only raise the most money, but also to bring attention to blood cancers, like leukemia, which is the most common form of cancer in children and teens.

Since the early 1960s, five-year survival rates for many blood cancer patients has doubled, tripled or even quadrupled. And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients, but are helping patients with other cancers and serious diseases. In fact, drugs first approved for blood cancers are now approved to treat patients with stomach cancers, skin cancers, and autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis.

LLS is truly a great organization that has the opportunity to and already is making a huge difference in everyone's life. We personally decided to become a part of this program because while the focus of The LLS is blood cancers, they are finding treatments and cures for all cancers, including the ones that have touched our loved ones. We hope to live to see the day when no one else has to battle this disease. No one deserves to be robbed of a life they deserve and you can help to ensure that one day all cancers will be eradicated. 

We really are changing the face of blood cancer!
