I've chosen to participate in this year's Student's of the Year Campaign in honor of my mother, Mai Luong, who was diagnosed with breast cancer March of 2020. Though my emotions were hardly hidden, my mother never once shed a tear. I learned firsthand the importance of strength and perseverance through my mother's journey; but most importantly, the impact and influence of a strong support system. Joining LLS has fulfilled my passion for curing cancer and providing hope and faith for famlies affected by the hardships of cancer.
