One of my best friends, Isabelle, was diagnosed with AML Leukemia the summer before we were going into our freshman year of high school. I watched her life completely transform, and I am honored to have been able to be there every step of the way with her. We talked almost everyday, but it was so painful to know that I was experiencing high school and she wasn't able to. Watching her suffer and be in so much pain makes me want to help others and to find a cure for this horrible disease. I'm happy to say that Isabelle has been cancer free for two years, and I'm so proud to be a part of her team and her friend.
