Dear friends and family,

I am honored to announce that I am a candidate for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Seattle Students of the Year campaign. I am writing today to ask for your support in my efforts to help LLS in its mission to ensure access to cures and treatments for blood cancers. 

While childhood leukemia has the highest cure rate of any blood cancer, it is also the number-one disease killer among children under the age of 20. This needs to change, and I know that as we come together and partner with LLS, we will be the last generation to see the devastating impact of cancer. 

Last year I was given the amazing opportunity to be a team member for this group of highly dedicated students. I learned numerous skills, especially from advertising and hosting fundraisers, and made a variety of connections through donations. Most importantly, I learned that it only takes one small step to make a huge difference. For me, that step was taking up the offer to join The Compassionate Cure Crew to help raise money for blood cancer. This year, I am proud to say that I will be leading this team along with my two co-candidates. I am excited to make an even bigger impact and I hope you can be a part of this journey!

Here is how you can be part of the cure: My campaign to be the Student of the Year is all about fundraising money for blood cancer research and I am asking you to join me in this ambitious effort. I have until Saturday, April 2^nd to reach my goal of raising $25,000.

Please reach out to as many friends and family members as possible as well. Any amount makes a huge difference when it comes to finding cures for cancer!
