A few years ago, our soccer teammate and friend, Catherine Muir, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She was only 11 years old. It was a very dreadful time for her and her family. After 1 difficult year of treatment, Catherine defeated blood cancer and is now 2 years cancer free!

Another family friend, Avery Stein, was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer just as she started her Kindergarten year in 2014, and her last chemotherapy treatment took place in 2017. After two and a half years of treatment, Avery defeated blood cancer with her brAVERY!
