Hello everyone! Thank you so much for your support throughout this journey of team Strong Like Sara '20. Currently, due to social distancing and everything going on with Covid-19, the Red Roar dance will be postponed indefinitely. We will have more information as time goes on. It is the hope right now to host the dance by the end of July. Hang tight and hold on for more information to come. Until then, we are still officially fundraising for the Students of the Year Campaign until June 20th, 2020. Cancer patients are living in fear right now with compromised immune systems and a new virus out and about. Hello everyone! I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for your contributions so far to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society! So far we have had a very successful Zupas Night that our community took part in that raised over $200! That's amazing and my team and I are so very thankful for your participation in our events to help raise funds for blood cancer research!  We have another exciting event coming up on Friday, March 27th from 8-11 p.m. at the Golden Spike Event Center in Ogden! Team Strong Like Sara is hosting a multischool dance for every high school across the state of Utah! It is $15 a person and will be called the Red Roar! Wear Red to this event to show your support for my team and kicking cancer in the BUTT! This will be a safe event and no drugs or alcohol will be permitted. Hi! My name is Alyssa Henrie, and I am honored to participate as a candidate for the 2020 Students of the Year program! This is a seven-week initiative in which select high school students from around the country participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I am proud to be a candidate and am raising critical dollars in honor of Sara Hill and her STRONG battle with Stage 4 Hodkin's Lymphoma- and to promote the miracles LLS performs for people like Sara who is now 3 years into remission! I also raise this money in memory of my late Aunt Paula, who passed away just 2 weeks after being diagnosed with Stage 4 Leukemia. Every penny counts because I hope that one day, no one will feel the heartbreaking loss of a loved one to this disease. LLS is changing lives and has advanced 34 of the 39 blood cancer treatments in 2017 and 2018. There is progress being made, and funding research for this cause is a HUGE HONOR! I am so incredibly blessed to be apart of this program!!

This program is creating real change for the world of cancer. Since the early 1960s, five-year survival rates for many blood cancer patients have doubled, tripled or even quadrupled. And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are helping patients with other cancers and serious diseases. In fact, drugs first approved for blood cancers are now approved to treat patients with stomach cancers, skin cancers, and autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis.

We really are changing the face of blood cancer!

All donations are GREATLY appreciated and are tax deductible! They'll not only support LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.
