Hi! My name is Maggie Dyer I had the privilege of being nominated as a candidate for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2025 Upstate New York Student Visionaries of the Year campaign. Student Visionaries of the Year is a seven-week leadership development program that runs from January 16th, 2025, to March 6th, 2025, to raise money to help blood cancer. I have created a team of committed friends and family to partner with me on this journey. All money raised goes to LLS. Our candidate team is particularly passionate about patient support and will be representing this area of LLS during my campaign. I signed up to help many others around the world. Having a family member, specifically my mom, who battled cancer has deeply motivated me to take action and help others facing this disease. I know how cancer can affect families and I am taking a step to put an end to it. This cause is personal to me, and I want to make a difference for both my mom and countless others who need support in their fight against cancer one step at a time. My campaign will provide support to the critical work of LLS in hopes that one day no one will have to grow up without the ones they love.
