This mission is especially important to me personally because my grandmother passed away from Leukemia. My grandma, Ita, was diagnosed with Leukemia in Fall of 2018. The doctors just put her on standard medicines. Approximately six months after, she had a reaction to one of those medicines, which led to her soon passing away. Through all of this, she was strong and made the most of all the time she had. I have always looked for a way to honor her, and when asked to take on this challenge, I had no hesitation. As a 16-year-old high school student, finding ways to contribute to the fight against cancer can be challenging, but this challenge offers me a chance to make a difference.
