Fighting cancer has a big place in my heart. I have witnessed firsthand the devastating effects of cancer. My mother’s lifelong friend, Bridget, died of leukemia at age twenty. My mom always knew that her first born girl would take that name. I am honored to be named Bridget, after such a courageous young lady.

But the main reason I am here today raising money for this amazing cause is in honor of Kelley Reid. She was my family’s close friend; I even called her Aunt Kelley. A few years ago she was diagnosed with cancer. After treatment, she was cancer free, but not long after she was diagnosed again; this time with a more aggressive cancer. She never complained, and she was always joyful. Sadly, in August she went to be with the Lord after a hard-fought battle leaving her husband and two ten-year old twins behind. I am fighting for people like Kelly and her family. Will you help me make an impact?
