This mission is extremely important to me because my family and I have felt the effect blood cancer has. My grandmother, Susan Mathes battled Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia, a form of blood cancer, for many years. My grandmother is one of the most important people in the world to me. The thought of losing her to this terrible disease crushed me and my family. Thankfully, my grandmother entered remission years ago, but she still faces the effects of blood cancer everyday. People like my grandmother deserved answers and a cure. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is where answers will be found. I am fighting for people like my grandmother.
