Student Visionaries of the Year Houston
Georgia Hash | Team Banking on a Cure
Georgia's Student Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser
Hi! My name is Georgia Hash and I'm a junior at Memorial High School. I am a part of Memorial Young Life as well as Memorial Sweethearts. I am also in my second year as a Memorial Markette. I started dancing at three years old at Westminster Pre-School and since then it has been my favorite thing to do. I work at The Branch Boutique and absolutely love it and my family and friends are my main priority.
I am so honored to be a part of LLS and to be chosen as a Student Visionary of the Year. The team I am leading, "TEAM BANKING ON A CURE," is made up of some of my closest friends and the best people I know. Working with this amazing team and the LLS staff, I am sure with your support that we will be able to reach our goal of $50,000. We are raising our money to support research for Leukemia and Lymphoma, one of the 3 pillars of LLS.
The reason this campaign is so important to me is because at 30 years old, my dad lost his father from complications of Leukemia. My dad explained how heartbreaking it was to lose his dad at such a young age, he didn't get to see my dad get married, he never got to meet his grandchildren, and he never got to see my dad's business grow and expand like my dad hoped he would. Although I never got to meet my Grandpa Gerry (also known as Hashie) I've heard so many amazing stories about him and I'm glad I get to know him through the memories of others.
Did you know many companies offer a matching gift program to encourage giving among their employees? And some companies also match gifts for spouses, retirees and part-time employees. Click here: https://www.lls.org/ways-help/employee-matching-gifts to see if your company has a matching gift program!
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's employer matching gift program provides an easy way increase the impact of your donation through corporate matching gifts. When you makes a donation, your company can Double or even Triple the value of your generous gift in a manner of minutes.
As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:
- Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
- Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
- Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.
Please consider joining this fight by making a donation. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!
Thanks to your support, my efforts will help ensure this generation is the last to see cancer.
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you!

In memory of two Trail Blazers in my life, I was blessed to know & look up to both of these gentleman. I met & came to know Gerry through my friendship with his son Bryan & Vince Hash, we went on a few wonderful hunting excursions & I thoroughly enjoyed listening to his stories as a businessman in Houston throughout the 60’s, 70’s & 80’s. RonKilpatrick, I had the pleasure of knowing for my entire life. I looked up to him as an insurance professional I wanted to be like during my career. He always took the time to teach & encourage through out the last 30 years. God Bless🙏🏻
